Immune System Support – Jin Shin Jyutsu

There are two Jin Shin Jyutsu hand hold flows that I use to help boost my immune system. When I am not feeling well, have a sore throat, coming down with a cold, feel tired or if I have an infected bug bite, I use both the hand holds that I will present. If I have a sore throat and do the hand holds, my sore throat is usually gone by the time I finish. It is also helpful for shoulder and back tension.

The hand holds use safety energy center 3, 6 and 15. The 15 safety energy center is located on either side of the groin where the leg meets the hip. The 15 represents laughter and joy. The 6 safety energy center is located at the bottom of the foot where our arch is. The 6 represents balance. The safety energy center number 3 represents our defense against problems and discomforts. Mary Burmeister said the 3 came into the universe meaning understanding, also known as the door. 3 safety energy center is located just below the neck on the back, near the tip of the scapula. When this area is tight and tense it can make us more susceptible to congestion, sore throats and runny noses.

This Jin Shin Jyutsu hand hold is to help open the energy in the front of the body. It is the first step to be open and ready to receive the 3 flow which is also known as the immune system flow.

Directions

The right hand is placed on the arch of the left foot and the left hand is placed next to the groin on the left leg where the leg meets the hip.

For the opposite side, the left hand is placed on the arch of the right foot and the right hand is placed next to the groin on the right leg where the leg meets the hip.

Benefits

Helps bring the energy down the body, helps the immune system find balance; helps any allergic reaction, sensitivities or intolerances, digestive or immune disturbances; helps deep tension in the shoulders and upper back, chest congestion and dizziness.

Directions

For the left flow, place the right hand over the left shoulder (if you can, make sure your fingers rest on the top corner of the shoulder blade, usually where it’s sore) and place the left hand on the left side groin where the leg meets the hip.

For the right flow, place the left hand over the right shoulder (if you can, make sure your fingers rest on the top corner of the shoulder blade, usually where it’s sore) and place the right hand on the right side groin where the leg meets the hip.

Do both Jin Shin Jyutsu hand holds for 20 minutes minimum (but if you can’t do it for that long, just hold for a few minutes each step or as long as is comfortable). If you fall asleep, then the hold will keep working until your hands fall away.

Benefits

Helps to aid breathing, help clear a sore throat, reduce fever, help the immune system, congestion, low energy and colds.

Let me know if you use the hand holds and what your experience is.
